I could write an awful lot abut Melancholia as a movie, mostly positive and along the lines of "OMG, I DON'T SLEEP SINCE I SAW THIS". However, one of the things I would write would be how polished and beautiful everyone looks and the surprising amount of product placement, from Royal Copenhagen porcelain to Mulberry bags.
It works though! I sort of want to live in this film. Despite the depression and imminent Armageddon. I can't believe Lars Von Trier made such a pretty movie, I think he must have been possessed by Sophia Coppola...
